As part of the installation team, you will need to install and maintain a range of high-quality hoists from brands such as Geda, Bocker and Stros, helping to deliver the best possible service for our customers. You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience installing Construction Hoists, Transport Platforms, and related equipment.

The Role

The successful candidate will join our installation team operating from our main offices near Peterborough but working predominantly in the field on our customers sites across London & the Southeast. Your duties in this role will include:
• Erecting and dismantling of construction hoists, transport platforms, goods hoists, and associated equipment on customers job sites.
• Carry out planned maintenance / inspections.
• Operator demonstration in the safe use of equipment.
• Carry out LOLER Thorough Examinations on hoists.
• Complete relevant paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
• Keep service vehicles clean inside and out at all times.
• Communicating with the Service Manager and operations team regarding the status of works.
• Ensure the health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Wear and maintain provided PPE at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be an experienced Hoist Installer / Hoist Engineer with a desire to develop your skills and advance your career, you should be able to demonstrate:
• Knowledge of relevant legislation covering the installation and Thorough Examination of construction hoists.
• Ability to work efficiently while under pressure.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid CSCS card / NVQ 2 or 3 in Hoist Installation.
• Full and clean driving license.
• Flexible working / unsociable hours, and work away from home occasionally.
• Rescue / Harness / Working at Height Training
• Be approachable and supportive to other team members and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines.
• Excellent numeracy & literacy and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
